There have been several changes to the course and program offerings that take effect for 2006-07. Departments that changed programs or courses are noted.

- Accounting -- changed requirements for the MS and added 1 course

- Appalachian Studies -- added a new concentration (Appalachian Music: Roots and Influences) and added/changed 2 courses

- Mathematical Sciences -- changed the capstone requirement in the MA (college teaching) and added 4 courses

- Physics and Astronomy -- added/changed 7 courses
- Political Science/Criminal Justice -- added an MS in Criminal Justice and Criminology, added two new concentrations (Emergency Management and Not-for-Profit Management) in the MPA, and added/changed 2 courses
- Psychology -- eliminated the MA in Health Psychology program, changed the MA in Clinical Psychology into the MA in Clinical Health Psychology, and added/changed 4 courses
- Social Science -- put admission to the secondary track on hold
- Sociology and Social Work -- added the Master of Social Work and added/changed 22 courses
- Technology -- added 2 new prefixed (GRA and IND) and changed 11 courses
