Orientation for Field-Based (Off-Campus) Graduate Students
Back to Newly Admitted Students >
As a field-based student, each of you is a member of a cohort with a program manager assigned to you through the Office of Extension and Distance Education. Your cohort's program manager is there to help you interface with campus resources and will hold an orientation at which you will receive very important information about your program. Please make every effort to attend.
Spring 2008 admits: You can find the details for your cohort's required orientation by following the " Cohorts Beginning Spring 2008" link on the Fall Schedule of Classes website:
http://www.registrar.appstate.edu/extension/springschedule/contentext.htm
OR by calling the office at 800-355-4084. Students who cannot attend the cohort orientation must make arrangements with the cohort manager ahead of time.
In addition, the Graduate School holds an on-campus orientation session each summer, fall, and spring in Boone, and
you are cordially invited to attend to meet the graduate school staff and learn about the resources available on campus.
Good luck with your graduate education at Appalachian. In addition to the good people in the Office of Extension and Distance Education, the Graduate School staff are available to answer questions!
