Appalachian students and students from nearby colleges and universities are welcome (and encouraged!) to attend. Please see the Career Development website for information about what to bring and what schools will be represented.
Information for Graduate and Professional School Representatives
Registration:
Cost for two representatives is $75.00 and covers a meal card for all Food Services areas on the campus the day of the fair. There is an additional $10 fee per representative to cover a meal card for additional representatives or guests of representatives.

Hotel Information:
As you may be aware, October is "Leaf Season" for the High Country. The Graduate School has contacted several local hotels and has been able to obtain the following special rates for attendees of the fair. Please note that the rates are time-limited. As an attendee of the Graduate & Professional Schools Fair, you can request the special rates noted for the nights of Wednesday, October 1 and Thursday, October 2. Reservations can be made for either night or both nights at the special rate.

Construction Notice:
Highway 321 between Blowing Rock and Lenoir can be closed completely between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm for construction on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (There is a detour during the closings.) You can visit the NC Department of Transportation web page at the links below for more information including details of the detour route.

Search "Eastern Mountains" for Caldwell County for the latest information regarding closings and construction.
If you are planning to come to Boone via Highway 321 from the Hickory or Lenoir area, please allow extra time for the construction and remember that the road may be closed the day of the fair for the hours noted above.
If you are coming from the Charlotte area the day of the fair, you may want to consider taking I-77 to Highway 421 N near Yadkinville rather than Highway 321 directly from Gastonia.
