The mission of the Marriage and Family Therapy Program is to provide clinical and academic training in marriage and family therapy to students who are committed to the effective practice of marriage and family therapy, functioning at a high level of clinical competence.
Program Highlights
- You can expect to complete the 48 credit hours in two years without thesis - 45 hours with thesis while being a full-time student.
- The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
- Internship: You will be expected to complete at least 500 hours of direct client contact under AAMFT-approved supervision prior to graduation. The internship experience spans a 12-month period. At least half (250) of the direct client hours must be with couples and families.
