This program prepares persons for a school principalship at all levels of public schools. Such a program leads to initial licensure as a school administrator in North Carolina. The purpose of the program is to prepare entry-level leaders in the governance and administration of the public schools. The focus is essentially directed towards site-based administration.
Program Highlights
- You will need to complete 42 credit hours to complete the School Administration program
- You will need a North Carolina "A" license or its equivalent from another state
- You will need to have completed 3 years successful teaching experience

Location of instruction: On and off campus. Specific locations of off-campus cohorts can be obtained from the Office of Extension and Distance Education
Required Entrance Exam: GRE or MAT (score must be no more than 5 years old)
Required Number of References to specify in the on-line form: 3
Supplemental Information: Resume (Required upload for application submission); MSA Questionnaire or EDS Questionnaire (upload on the Additional Information page in the on-line application); NC "A" or "M" licensure or the equivalent from another state; three years teaching experience; interview upon request.

Basic Criteria for Consideration: Cum UGPA 3.0 in last 60 hours, GREV = 435, GREQ = 435. MAT score in the 45th percentile may be substituted for the GRE
