Grant Writer's Toolbox
Writing a Proposal
Once grant sources have been selected and funding that best suits your needs has been determined, the next step to obtain a grant is to write a proposal. The process is outlined, straightforward and made easily accessible for Appalachian State University’s faculty and administration in the Toolbox. IMPORTANT: Do not forget to complete the University’s Internal Processing Form as part of the proposal submission.
Before You Begin
Answer for yourself the following questions:
- What is the purpose of the grant?
- Who will benefit from the grant? Consider the region’s community and students.
- How well does your experience coincide with the project?
- What are your intended results and how will you achieve them?
