Mandatory Training for Graduate Assistantships
All graduate students who have graduate assistantships must complete the training once each academic year.
Choose the minicourse and assessment that most closely matches your duties. Monica Rose (RoseMD@appstate.edu) can confirm which type of graduate assistantship you have.
Please read through the appropriate legal issues minicourse by following the link below. Once you are finished, follow the assessment link and log in to moodle to complete the matching quiz. You can retake the quiz until you have answered all of the questions correctly.
- GTA: Choose this one if you are doing any work with students in a classroom, teaching or tutoring setting.
- RA: Choose this one if you are not doing anything from (1), but are working with a faculty member on research (your own or the faculty member’s).
- GA: Choose this one if you are not doing anything from (1) or (2), but are working in an administrative capacity
