Information for New Students - Virtual Orientation Emails
We are trying something new this year to further streamline on-campus orientation: Virtual Orientation Emails. Instead of having a long orientation session with a series of "talking heads" to overwhelm you with information, I will be sending a series of emails to you (meaning accepted applicants who have confirmed their admission with the graduate school). As they are sent, they will also be placed on this website.
By doing this, we can limit the face-to-face orientation about graduate school to a 90 minute session so that new students can focus on getting to know their new home departments in the week before classes start. Please let us know what you think of this approach!
